About Lisa Jamison

Welcome! I'm Lisa, and I specialize in Integrated Somatic Therapies. I'm a Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, Coach/Trainer, Body Worker, Yoga Therapist, Breathwork facilitator, educator, and all around great gal (not necessarily in that order!). I thrive on watching people move, both in sport/activity as well as how one maneuvers the world. Professionally I can help you do that with more grace, ease, and efficiency...AND help you determine those pesky limitations, often from adverse experiences/trauma. It's about eliminating the stresses on your body and teaching you a new way. Physically. Cognitively. Emotionally. Body, mind, and spirit.

Nine Seconds

Today’s workout plan for SJV (friend, regular training partner, and stairclimb teammate) and me was to run and climb.  It was her first day on the stairs and based on my report from last week she was excited to climb; … Continue reading

(photo)x(42)=? I’ve signed up for the Fight For Life Climb Tampa in March, and have committed to finding 49 others to join me.  As I’ve said, my friend recently passed away and this seems like the perfect way to honor … Continue reading

Keeping the main thing the main thing:  I’ll move regularly, more often, and with better quality.  This is my (underlying) mantra, even as I sit at my desk and catch up with the myriads of paperwork! Here’s another of my … Continue reading

Inching my way back

Begin…it looks a bit like Downward Facing Dog! Keeping the main thing the main thing:  if you bobble on the tightrope of life, get your legs back under you and start again.    I’ve been a bit preoccupied lately, … Continue reading

Shiny happy people laughing…

So my friend The Irishman died on Thursday.  I missed him by about ten minutes.  I still went into the room, hoping he hadn’t quite left the building.  I told him how I had taken a walk up the beach … Continue reading

Sleepless nights and finish lines

I’ve missed a few days of blogging about balance.  I’m off count.  My plan is not being carried out as I had thought.  And I’m OK with that.  I have indeed been “busy”…thinking.  And sometimes that’s the best I can … Continue reading

40 Days and 40 Nights…the balancing act

A well-developed sense of humor is the pole that adds balance to your step as you walk the tightrope of life. (William Arthur Ward)

40 Days of…Living and Loving

I’ve been off for a couple of days.  I can say I’ve been incredibly busy, swamped even.  I’m self employed, so that’s a good thing.  I had some good workouts, ate some good meals, and seemed to have worked on … Continue reading

40 Evenings to more balanced living…

…through cheap wine.  Yup.  That’s my new passion.  Not in that drunken skirt-pulled-up-over-my-head type of way.  I just like a glass of wine.  In a pretty glass.  With a piece of fruit or a piece of cheese.  It’s the perfect … Continue reading

Hey You Guuuu-uuuuys!

I was actually glad to have a younger sister when this show was on…Rita Moreno, Morgan Freemank, Bill Cosby…not a bad line-up of talented characters.  And the catchy jingle.  Nice flashback! The show was for graduates of “The School of … Continue reading
